The aim is to initiate and carry out research in the field of nutritional epidemiology on an international level, focusing on the importance of diet for the development of lifestyle related disease and death. Furthermore, the aim is to encourage and stimulate other researchers, including the training of younger researchers, to con-duct research within the field of nutritional epidemiology.

Finally, EEK hosts of a network of nutritional epide-miology aiming at gathering the experts of this field, to ensure the opportunity of exchanging and sharing knowledge, e.g. arranging symposia and workshops on nutritional research.
